Exorcising my Ghosts

A P P Project

Peter Pitsch is a versatile artist. From his beginnings as an author and illustrator to an acting career in Italy and finally establishing an art gallery, Peter has led an unusual life. His journey took him through various cities, including Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome, and Copenhagen, before settling in southern Denmark. Here, Peter works as a writer, artist, and producer. In 2017, he opened his own art gallery in Nykøbing's Latin Quarter, presenting his paintings and photographic works. In his current project, he works as a songwriter, creating an intense experience by combining his poetry with music.

The Project
At the age of 17, Peter began writing poems and texts, and since then, he has published numerous books. His work critically examines all forms of madness, including those we call normality. These are not fleeting, superficial reflections, but often profound explorations of his own inner world. He is an author who leaves no stone unturned. Grotesque states of mind and ecstatic excesses are distilled, just as erotic and neurotic episodes are transformed. Sometimes relentlessly, sometimes ironically–but always poetically. In these condensed stories, nothing is glossed over or concealed. The human core is exposed, the uniqueness of existence poetically transformed.
Starting from the lyrical moods, rhythms, and metrics, the artificial intelligence has generated music–a symbiosis of thoughts and soundscapes. Analytical structures translate the texts into acoustic experiences, lending new dimension to poems composed over decades. The meaning, however, remains untouched. This work, a kind of soundtrack to a turbulent life, is not the result of chance. The thoughts and intensity breathe life into the music, making it the soul of the project. In all albums, the human spirit is perceptible through experiences, emotions, and insights.
Poetry and its musical counterpart merge. By selecting a musical ambience, genre, and other key elements, Peter interweaves language and soundscape. He carefully selects individual tracks and personally oversees the mixing and editing of the audio material, while a professional recording studio in Holland ensures that each piece undergoes expert mastering.
In addition to the music, the project also includes cover design, video production, and online marketing of the albums. Peter Pitsch is co-owner of the independent company DiGiDi, which facilitates the digital distribution of creative content.
His stage name, "Exorcising My Ghosts," is derived from the title of his latest collection of poetry, "Exorcising Ghosts," a kaleidoscope of his best poetry from four decades.
Despite his talent, Peter has never achieved commercial success as a writer. This fact has also shaped him as a person and a poet. His determination to make a difference and touch others with his words has only temporarily waned over the years.
Each track on Peter Pitsch's concept albums features one of his poems. These poetic stories touch the heart, evoke emotions and finally receive the attention they deserve.
